You will join the clinical team based at the practice or indeed walk in centre and will work alongside fellow dedicated and highly skilled healthcare professionals. The Team consists of GP's, ANP’s, Clinical Leads, Pharmacists, Practice Nurses and Healthcare assistants. The team holds regular monthly meetings and also development / training sessions.

As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner you will use your skills and experience to work autonomously and flexibly, lead from the front and guide care staff as appropriate whilst also feeding into the wider team of practitioners.

Duties
  • Providing advanced level of autonomous nursing practices to assess, investigate, diagnose, treat and refer patients
  • Always acting within the parameters of the NMC Code of Professional Conduct, Emergency Nurse Practice and NP Scope of Practice
  • Providing services to meet the needs of the registered patients who attend the practice
  • Prescribe and review medication appropriate to patient needs and in accordance with evidence based practice and within your scope of practice
  • Diagnose and manage acute conditions
  • Delivering holistic health care for patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems using advanced nursing skills
  • Contributing to the provision of multidisciplinary education and training within the service, local training programmes and providing experiential learning opportunities, mentoring and clinical learning opportunities
  • Conduct home visits, referrals, signposting and interpreting x-rays
Ideal Candidate
  • Registration with the NMC
  • Clinical experience of working in primary health care
  • Teaching and Assessing qualification - minimum ENB 998 or equivalent
  • Accredited training in chronic disease management
  • Minor injuries experience gained from within an acute setting
