Park Maintenance Technician
Town of Farragut seeks a Park Maintenance Technician with experience mowing, available Monday‑Friday. Pay starts at $18.48 per hour.

Performs novice-to-intermediate skilled trades work operating various types of equipment, performing maintenance and repair tasks as directed by the Park Maintenance Foreman and Park Maintenance Technician II.
Essential Functions- Regularly maintains parks and facilities (Town Hall, Community Center, Outdoor Classroom) including mowing, weed eating, spraying, general lawn maintenance, and irrigation
- Operates equipment safely and efficiently for routine manual labor duties involving grounds maintenance, using standard hand tools and mowers
- Creates, installs, maintains, and removes seasonal decorations
- Assists with snow removal in coordination with the Public Works department
- Performs other duties or special projects as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Novice-to-intermediate knowledge of operating small, medium, and heavy trucks and equipment; mechanical aptitude; ability to perform calculations, follow written and oral directions, make minor repairs, and work independently with little supervision.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED and minimal experience working with equipment or machines, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is preferred but not required.
Regular exertion of up to 10 pounds of force and frequent exertion of up to 50 pounds of force; work regularly requires standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms, pushing or pulling, and lifting; occasionally requires climbing or balancing, sitting, speaking, hearing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, tasting or smelling, and repetitive motions; work requires visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, measuring devices, assembly or fabrication of parts within arm’s length, operating machines, and exposure to outdoor weather conditions and vibration.
