Job DescriptionYou will engage in a variety of quality assurance activities, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with industry standards. This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the automotive industry with new product launches anticipated in the near future.
Team of 2 Quality Engineers, 2 Quality Technicians, and 1 Quality Systems person.
Hours- Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
- Flexibility on start time if needed
- Access customer‑specific portals daily to check and implement corrective actions.
- Utilize problem‑solving methodologies such as 8D, 5Y, or 3‑legged 5Y to complete corrective actions.
- Participate in the completion of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) depending on the product launch stage.
- Collaborate with assigned customers and suppliers to address quality issues.
- Work hands‑on with production teams to create and train on job instructions.
- Conduct gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (R&R) studies for products.
- Proficiency in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and PPAP.
- Experience with Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and control plans.
- Experience in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
- 2–4 years of quality engineering experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Familiarity with IATF standards.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Plex system.
- Automotive launch experience.
- Skills in tube bending, fabrication, cold forming, swaging, end forming, piercing, tube welding, assembly stamping, and brazing.
- Competence in CMM programming.
- Proficiency in using micrometers and calipers.
- Audit experience.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Farwell, MI.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36.06 – $40.87 /hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
