We are accepting applications for a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacology, excellent communication skills, and a passion for patient care. The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing expert advice on their use, and ensuring the highest standards of pharmaceutical care.
Key Responsibilities:- Medication Dispensing:
Accurately and efficiently dispense prescription medications and over-the-counter drugs while adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements. - Patient Consultation:
Provide personalized consultation to patients regarding the proper use of medications, potential side effects, and interactions with other drugs or food. - Medication Management:
Review and verify medication orders, ensuring appropriateness and safety. Monitor patient medication therapy and provide recommendations for modifications as needed. - Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate patient records, including medication history, allergies, and current treatments. Ensure compliance with legal and organizational documentation standards. - Collaboration:
Work closely with healthcare providers to discuss and resolve medication-related issues. Collaborate with other pharmacy staff and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. - Inventory Management:
Oversee inventory levels, including ordering and stocking medications. Ensure proper storage and handling of pharmaceutical products. - Patient
Education:
Educate patients and their families about medication management, health conditions, and preventive care measures. - Compliance:
Adhere to all state and federal regulations, including maintaining confidentiality and following ethical practices. - Quality Assurance:
Participate in quality assurance programs to ensure the highest standards of pharmaceutical care and safety.
- Education:
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.
D.) degree or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution. - Licensure:
Valid and active pharmacist license in Michigan. - Experience:
3 years of experience in a pharmacy setting preferred (not required). Experience in community pharmacy is a plus. - Skills:
Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and pharmaceutical calculations. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. - Personal Attributes:
Detail-oriented, empathetic, and committed to providing exceptional patient care. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
