The Opportunity
A long established bespoke bespoke construction company is seeking a QS Project Manager to oversee a range of small to medium scale projects across the south east. This role suits someone who has come up through a trade background—ideally carpentry or a similar hands on discipline—and progressed into Quantity Surveying, Project Management or a hybrid commercial/operational role.
The company delivers high quality, bespoke work, so this position is ideal for someone who enjoys detail, craftsmanship and working closely with clients and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
Managing residential construction projects from pre construction through to completion
Cost planning, estimating and take offs
Preparing tender documentation, Bills of Quantities and subcontractor enquiries
Managing budgets, variations, CVRs and commercial reporting
Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and quality
Liaising with clients, subcontractors and internal teams
Ensuring compliance with building regulations and health & safety standards
Overseeing final accounts and project close out
About You
Background in a trade such as carpentry, joinery or similar
Experience in residential construction, ideally with bespoke or specialist projects
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of build processes
Confident managing budgets, subcontractors and client relationships
Able to work independently and travel to sites when required
Full UK driving licence
