Installation Technician

Job Category: 13.4 Production Workers – Full‑time – 1 location – Fayette, AL

Essential Duties
  • Observe and follow all posted, written, and verbally communicated safety standards and PPE requirements.
  • Work all assigned days, shifts, and overtime as required and/or scheduled.
  • Locate and drive chassis in and around the facility.
  • Stage chassis for installation process.
  • Using a jib crane, overhead crane, slings, fork truck, and/or manual lifting, move components/products into proper position.
  • Select/identify and locate components accurately and correctly according to all work orders and/or work instructions.
  • Cut as needed using a torch, portable plasma cutter, band saw, and/or iron worker.
  • Grind and/or buff as needed using an angle grinder.
  • Correctly install all components according to all work orders and/or work instructions.
  • Drill bolt holes as required using a drill press, cordless drill, and/or floor drill in accordance with all quality standards, work instructions, and work orders.
  • Install hardware as needed in accordance with all quality standards, work instructions, and work orders.
  • Install and connect electrical harnesses, components, and/or connections in accordance with all quality standards, work instructions, and work orders.
  • Install and connect hydraulic hoses and/or valves in accordance with all quality standards, work instructions, and work orders.
  • Comply with all hazardous material labeling, communications, storage, and/or disposal posted, written, and verbally communicated.
  • Inspect all work performed in accordance to all quality standards, work instructions, and work orders.
  • Perform all work in accordance to all posted, written, and verbally communicated time limits (cycle times).
  • Perform all posted, written, and verbally communicated preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Perform any and all posted, written, and verbally communicated cleaning functions of the work area, equipment, and/or facility.
  • Duties are subject to change at any time.
Qualifications
  • Educational:
    High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience:

    Basic mechanical and tools (wrench, screwdriver, drills, etc.) knowledge required. Must have a valid D.L., prior driving experience, and a good driving record.
  • Skills:

    Ability to read and interpret a tape measure, read and comprehend work order specifications, and comprehend instructions verbally and written.
  • Other:
    Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., climb up and down from chassis, walk for long periods, and work in a fast‑paced environment.
