Job Description At Olsson, our Construction Materials Testing (CMT) team plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, quality, and performance of infrastructure and building projects across the region. We are seeking an experienced CMT Field Manager to lead field operations, mentor technical staff, strengthen client relationships, and drive successful project delivery.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a construction materials testing professional who enjoys combining technical expertise, team leadership, project management, and client engagement. You will have the autonomy to make decisions, influence project outcomes, and help grow our expanding CMT practice in Northwest Arkansas.

What You'll DoAs a CMT Field Manager, you will serve as a technical and operational leader responsible for the successful execution of construction materials testing and special inspection projects. You will collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor field technicians and inspection staff, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and professional growth.

Manage quality assurance and quality control efforts across multiple construction projects.

Review and interpret project plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, and construction requirements.

Serve as the primary technical resource for field teams, contractors, and clients.

Develop scopes of work, project budgets, estimates, and proposals for new opportunities.

Monitor project schedules, staffing needs, and budgets to ensure successful project execution.

Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication and trusted technical guidance.

Conduct and oversee field and laboratory testing activities as needed.

Prepare and review project reports, inspection documentation, and testing results for accuracy and completeness.

Facilitate preconstruction meetings and project coordination meetings.

Identify project risks and proactively implement solutions to maintain quality, safety, and project performance.

Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities for repeat and expanded services.

Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, DOT standards, project specifications, and company safety requirements.
