Summary of

Job Duties

Responsibilities include developing and teaching courses in welding (Arc, MIG, TIG, safety, layout and fabrication) as well as maintaining training/certification through ongoing professional development. Other duties involve engagement with advisory council; assessment/evaluation of instruction; student advisement, recruitment and retention activities; and participation in college and university committees. The position reports to the department head of Engineering.

Special Job Dimensions: Work split between an office/classroom setting and a welding laboratory. Occasional travel and extended hours required. Visual demands include close, relatively detailed vision when focusing on a computer screen. Employee regularly talks and hears. Employee occasionally lifts items up to 50 pounds.
