Summary ofJob Duties
Responsibilities include developing and teaching courses in welding (Arc, MIG, TIG, safety, layout and fabrication) as well as maintaining training/certification through ongoing professional development. Other duties involve engagement with advisory council; assessment/evaluation of instruction; student advisement, recruitment and retention activities; and participation in college and university committees. The position reports to the department head of Engineering.

Job Duties
- Recruitment and retention of students, including advising students
- Attendance and participation in all faculty and administrative meetings, Student Research Symposium, commencement ceremonies, and other meetings/events as required

Special Job Dimensions: Work split between an office/classroom setting and a welding laboratory. Occasional travel and extended hours required. Required abilities include walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods, as well as the ability to work overhead for limited periods of time. Visual demands include close, relatively detailed vision when focusing on a computer screen. Employee regularly talks and hears. Employee occasionally lifts items up to 50 pounds.
