Summary ofJob Duties:
The primary responsibility of the Advisor and Academic Services Coordinator is to advise prospective and current students, recruit new students, process correspondence and course registration, oversee admission decisions and processes, manage graduation requirements for all students, and grow and maintain the program site in a sound and sustainable way. Primary duties include advising graduate domestic and international students until graduation, making admissions decisions, handling graduation checks, recruiting, maximizing enrollment, ensuring smooth site operations, supporting applicants, and communicating with staff and faculty to promote student success.
EmploymentDetails:
This is a one-year appointment, renewable based on need, funding, and performance.
Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, education administration, or a related field from an accredited institution
- At least three years of relevant experience in education administration, business administration, or related settings
- Experience working in higher education as a student advisor or with university systems
- Experience working with international students
- Knowledge of work-related subject areas, computers, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to prepare, present, and review oral and written reports
- Research and analytical skills related to work programs
- Ability to develop, interpret, and apply policies and procedures
- Effective communication with staff, faculty, and students
