Job Duties SummaryThe Student Engagement and Outreach (SEAO) Graduate Assistant supports professional staff members in planning, implementing and assessing ongoing and future student engagement initiatives. The Graduate Assistant works closely with the student engagement staff to advise the Cardinal Nights student group, manage the Hog Sync platform, and assist in transfer student support initiatives. The SEAO Graduate Assistant is expected to be student-centered, administratively sound, task-oriented, relationship-oriented, be proficient with email management, have the ability to problem solve, and must work well autonomously and with a team.
Small and large group facilitation skills, strong customer service skills and the ability to work successfully with a variety of constituents are also highly desired.
This position will develop UA Career-Ready skills such as Teamwork, Communication, and Critical Thinking.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
- Completion of a bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- Successful enrollment in a graduate-degree seeking program at the University of Arkansas
Preferred Qualifications:
- Undergraduate experience in event planning, student staff training & development, and student organization leadership experience

- M.Ed. in Higher Education (HIED)
