Job DescriptionAs a Wastewater Treatment Technical Expert, you will mentor, ensure quality and technical excellence, and lead design reviews across the firm to develop new concepts and processes for wastewater treatment services.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a subject matter expert, providing advisory services internally and externally to elevate the firm’s technical capabilities.
- Offer firmwide direction, internal consultation, and specialized services to clients in the wastewater discipline.
- Ensure all processes and systems comply with local, state, and federal regulations, preparing compliance documentation and reports.
- Maintain a reputation as a technical expert outside the firm, writing papers, delivering presentations, and representing the firm in professional societies.
- Promote efficiencies in producing quality work, maintaining quality control standards.
- Research and analyze wastewater data, trends, and emerging technologies, providing insights and recommendations internally and externally.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and industry partners to stay informed of developments and identify collaboration opportunities.
- Represent the firm on governing bodies of professional organizations to elevate the profession and the firm’s brand.
- Lead and manage water and wastewater treatment projects from conceptual design through implementation, preparing detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to contribute well to a team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required;
Master’s degree in Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering preferred. - Must be a licensed professional engineer (PE).
- 12+ years of experience in water/wastewater process engineering.
- Experience in AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software.
- Strong technical background in wastewater treatment, modeling, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience leading and mentoring others.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
