Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour (dependent on merit and productivity)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (overtime available; start and finish times may be discussed).
Maynard Inc. in Fayetteville, AR is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Finish Technician to ensure all machined products meet the highest standards of quality, fit, form, and appearance. This role involves deburring, removing sharp edges and imperfections using hand tools, pneumatic equipment, and finishing machinery, as well as applying various finishing techniques to enhance final product aesthetics. The Finish Technician is responsible for maintaining tools, documenting work, supporting inventory needs, and upholding strict safety and cleanliness standards.
Ideal candidates have strong manual dexterity, technical skill, an eye for detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast‑paced production environment. A commitment to continuous improvement and contributing to a high‑performing manufacturing team is essential.
- Inspect and deburr machined parts to meet internal and customer quality specifications
- Use hand tools, grinders, deburring wheels, sanders, and files to finish components
- Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions to ensure accuracy and conformance
- Visually inspect parts for surface defects, sharp edges, and irregularities
- Follow detailed instructions to complete work per established procedures
- Maintain clean and organized work spaces, perform minor maintenance on tools
- Collaborate with machine operators, inspectors, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow
- Accurately document work performed and report any discrepancies or issues
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and process specifications
- Familiarity with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) is preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Strong work ethic, self‑initiative, and a desire to learn
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team‑oriented environment
- Willingness to learn new tools, equipment, and techniques
