The Lead Person provides directions for the sanitation crew within a certain area of the plant. This position is trained in multiple jobs, can assist the training team members, and provide support as requested by the supervisor in that area.

• Work cooperatively with management, team members, customers,
• and regulatory agencies to ensure sanitation procedures are followed.
• Maintain
• open communications with all team members in the plant. Meet with the
• Supervisor on a regular basis to ensure all issues are being properly handled
• and addressed, including missing or damaged parts and equipment.
• Clean
• and sanitize equipment and workspace in a designated area of the plant.
• Ensure
• team members in assigned area are completing job tasks to QA and USDA
• standards. Inspect equipment to ensure all areas are clean for pre-op
• inspections.
• Handle
• chemicals to ensure usage is within specified limits.
• Monitor
• and provide personal protective equipment ('PPE').
• Other
• duties as assigned.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Leadership and decision making skills are required.
• 6 or more months of experience in sanitation and/or food processing industry.
• Ability to take direction and instruction from manager and be accountable for own actions.
• Safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in extreme temperature fluctuations.

This position would involve you to be in a wet,

hot, and or cold environment, while wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Shift may vary depending on location.
