Position: FT Temp RN Days Nights $55/hr

FT Temp RN Days/Nights – $55/hr

Vantage Point Behavioral Health Hospital, Fayetteville, AR – 114‑bed behavioral health facility, Joint Commission accredited.

We are looking for passionate Registered Nurses to provide care in a supportive environment with growth opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
  • Develop and implement nursing care plans.
  • Maintain medical records and educate patients and their families about various physical and behavioral health conditions.
  • Provide nursing care within the scope of nursing practice as defined by state Nurse Practice Act, policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Ensure physicians’ orders are legible and transcribed appropriately.
  • Assess patients’ status continuously and document pertinent information.
  • Notify physicians of significant changes in status such as difficulties with detox, medical emergency, or medication response.
  • Complete initial nursing treatment plans upon admission and ensure they are specific to assessed needs.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of universal precautions during direct patient care.
  • Accurately administer medications per ordered notes.
  • Document controlled substance medication counts accurately.
  • Complete admission and discharge processing efficiently.
  • Establish therapeutic rapport while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Coordinate unit activities as directed.
  • Communicate professionally with patients, visitors, co‑workers, and others involved in inpatient treatment.
Required Qualifications
  • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of employment or eligibility to practice nursing in the state.
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; prior psychiatric, mental, behavioral, or substance use nursing experience is a plus.
  • CPR and de‑escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire at facility).
  • First aid certification may be required based on state or facility requirements.
