Overview
Springwoods Behavioral Health, an 80-bed behavioral health facility located in Fayetteville, Arkansas, provides acute inpatient treatment for adolescent, adult, and specialty programs for women. The hospital also offers outpatient treatment. Our six-acre campus is adjacent to a 123-acre Audubon Wildlife and Bird Sanctuary, which is held in perpetuity and cannot be developed from its natural state. This provides Springwoods with a peaceful setting for those embarked on the road to recovery.
Position
Purpose:
The Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the provision of patient care according to professional standards of nursing practice in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. Utilizes resources in an efficient and economic manner to ensure each resident achieves the highest practicable care in physical, mental, and social well-being. Performs any and all professional nursing duties as determined by qualifications and training.
- Provide professional nursing care in accordance with standards and regulations.
- Utilize available resources efficiently to ensure holistic patient well-being (physical, mental, social).
- Follow policies and procedures and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes.
- Maintain situational awareness and crisis management as part of daily duties.

Licensed Practice Nurses, Licensed Psychiatric Technician Nurse, Mental Health Technicians, and Certified Nursing Assistant - Interpersonal Relationships:
Represent Springwoods Behavioral Health with professionalism to promote teamwork and high-quality service.
- Licenses or
Certifications:
Current licensure and registration by the Arkansas Board of Nurse Examiners as a Registered Nurse. Current CPR, Verbal De-escalation, and Handle with Care certifications, or must obtain within 14 days of hire. - Total education, vocational training and experience:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Three (3) years of experience in behavioral health preferred or an equivalent combination of related education and experience. - ANA Standards of Psychiatric Mental Health-Clinical Nursing Practice guidance for nurses with less than two years of behavioral health experience, including nursing process and professional standards.
- Experience working with adolescents (ages 8-18) and/or adults (ages 18+) preferred.
- Ability to provide direction, support, and supervision to nursing staff; strong organization and time management skills.
- Must be able to exercise good judgment and demonstrate leadership; maintain competencies required by Joint Commission and regulatory agencies.
- Visual acuity for observation of patients; ability to read and write; ability to work in a fast-paced environment with interruptions.
