About the Role
The Stonebreaker, opening October 2024, is actively searching for a passionate and creative Mixologist to join our team!
Stonebreaker, formerly the Pratt Place Inn, was first opened in 2008 as an independent, locally owned and operated boutique hotel located on 144 acres at the top of Markham Hill, one of the Seven Hills in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The 18,900 sq ft building will be renovated and transformed to offer an extensive F&B program with significant outdoor dining, private dining options, a Membership Club Lounge, and a check‑in area for guests.
WEEKLY PAY!!
Essential Functions- Greet, direct, seat, and take all orders of food or beverage from guests.
- Serve guests in accordance with company standards including verifying age requirements.
- Impart to the customer warmth and graciousness, much as you would give a guest in your own home.
- Organize and maintain consistent liquor inventory. Communicate inventory needs to appropriate manager.
- Participate in development of and be knowledgeable of all wine, beer and specialty cocktails offered.
- Ability to make pairing suggestions.
- Able to open and serve bottled wine or beer and mixed drinks in accordance with HCH service standards.
- Understand and practice safe serving practices.
- Ability to obtain proper certification for state liquor requirements.
- Complete proper set up for temporary or banquet bars.
- Prepare garnishes and mix drink ingredients prior to shift.
- Adhere to all pouring guidelines and recipes.
- Operate efficiently and calmly throughout peak service times and high stress situations.
- Be thoroughly familiar with menu items and related materials.
- Clean and maintain all working areas and equipment.
- Complete designated side work efficiently and thoroughly.
- Use the suggestive selling method for building check averages.
- Obtain settlement from customers, either cash, credit or room charge, and settle bills using the POS system.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must feel comfortable with technology. Working knowledge of a Point of Sale system preferred.
- 1 year bartending experience in a high‑volume restaurant, fine dining preferred.
- Alcohol service training certificate a plus (will train if needed).
- Ability to work in a constructive, team‑working environment with a positive, upbeat and customer‑focused attitude.
- Ability to operate smoothly under pressure and stress.
- Flexibility to work nights or mornings, weekends, holidays, and busy seasonal days (i.e. town festivals).
