The Cook is responsible for ensuring the quality, quantity, tastiness, and freshness of all Hot Choice Buffet products. The Cook pays special attention to speed, cleanliness, organization, and product specifications.

• Prepares Hot Choice Buffet products, including Carving and Display Cooking items, according to Golden Corral recipes and procedures.
• Grills all items to meet Golden Corral standards for quality.
• Ensures fried products are always fresh and hot.
• Restocks items at the Display Cooking Station when the Buffet Attendant is unavailable.
• Assists guests with carved meat options if the Carver is unavailable.
• Follows the buffet production system to ensure quality and shelf life compliance.

• Maintains correct temperatures of all products during cooking, holding, and serving.
• Uses the Hot Choice Buffet Production Guide and Display Cooking Hot Cook Production Guide for inventory management.
• Performs opening and closing administrative procedures.
• Maintains equipment according to the Equipment Maintenance manual.
• Restocks and rotates food using the FIFO method.
• Conducts inventory checks and collaborates with the Manager at shift start and end.
• Ensures cleanliness of the Hot Cook area and smallwares.
• Completes duty roster and maintains standards of cleanliness, service, and quality.
• Follows local health department laws.
• Keeps Char Grill clean and sanitized.

• Ensures hot and fresh Hot Choice Buffet products for guests.
• Follows position responsibilities for just-in-time delivery.
• Provides friendly and courteous service to guests.
• Maintains professional communication.
