In-Home Installation and Health Technician

As an In-Home Installation and Health Technician, you’ll be responsible for the delivery, installation, integration, and troubleshooting of basic, complex, and advanced consumer electronics products such as home theater, computing, smart home, health technology, and networking. This role also requires technical expertise in health device installation and support including all appropriate HIPAA and health‑related requirements. You’ll help customers find the right solutions based on interactions within the home and partner with other agents, service partners, retail employees, and supply chain employees.

Base pay range: $20.20/hr – $31.24/hr — exact pay based on your skills and experience.

• Provide a seamless customer experience by advising and fulfilling lifestyle recommendations regarding products, services and content.
• Perform delivery, installation, integration, networking, and troubleshooting of consumer electronics devices.
• Maintain phone and in‑person contact with customers to uncover diagnostic discoveries and make recommendations.
• Support in‑store agents, car electronic installation and repair agents.
• Lead two‑person jobs and, when appropriate, perform other work alone.
• Manage inventory and vehicle maintenance, process paperwork and payment, provide feedback and training opportunities, and follow safety guidelines.

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Current, valid driver’s license.
• Maintain a driving record that meets Best Buy safety standards.
• Ability to acquire and maintain any state or local licensing required within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to acquire any health‑related certifications (e.g., HIPAA) within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds alone, up to 150 pounds as part of a team, and 150–250 pounds as part of a team with support tools such as harnesses or lifts.
• 2 years of consumer electronics delivery, installation, integration and troubleshooting experience.
• 1 year of customer service experience.

• 1 year of experience in installation, integration and troubleshooting of advanced or complex consumer electronics products.
