AboutThe Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Insurance Verifier to join our OASCF department. In this hourly, full-time position, you will play a key role in ensuring that all insurance-related information is accurately verified and documented, contributing to seamless billing and patient satisfaction. As an integral part of our team, you will utilize your strong communication skills in English and knowledge of insurance processes to maintain efficiency and compliance with organizational standards.
WhatYou'll Do
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with patients, insurance companies, and internal departments to obtain necessary information.
- Ensure billing codes are appropriate and claims are compliant with payer requirements.
- Update and maintain insurance verification documentation in the system.
- Identify and proactively resolve insurance discrepancies or authorization issues.
- Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries related to insurance verification.
- Assist in streamlining verification workflows to enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Stay informed of changes in insurance policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in healthcare or insurance is a plus.
- Proven experience in insurance verification or a related role within the healthcare industry.
- Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication.
- Familiarity with insurance regulations, policies, and medical billing codes.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality.
- Experience with healthcare or insurance software systems is preferred.
