Position OverviewPiedmont Healthcare is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Cardiac Acute Care Services team at Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, GA. This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with one of the nation's leading cardiology programs, alongside highly trained physicians. Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI) provides comprehensive cardiovascular services, including electrophysiology, transplant, advanced heart failure, critical care, interventional, surgical, and research services.
Responsibilities- Assist in evaluating and treating cardiology patients in an inpatient setting.
- Take patient histories, perform physical examinations, and document findings.
- Write progress notes, consults, admissions, and discharge summaries.
- Prepare patient workups.
- Order and schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as part of direct patient care.
- Collaborate with physicians and other advanced practice providers.
- Rotate coverage on weekends and holidays as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Masters or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited PA program and National Board Certification.
- Or licensed as a Nurse and approved to practice as an NP by the State of Georgia with National Certification.
