Preadmission Testing PRN- Nurse Practitioner​/Physician Assistant- Fayetteville

Overview

Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting for a Preadmission Testing Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Piedmont Augusta. The preadmission testing position works Monday through Friday 08:00‑16:30 / 09:30‑18:00, offering a consistent and flexible lifestyle.

• Perform pre‑anesthesia screening assessments to determine if a patient is optimized for the planned anesthetic.
• Examine, evaluate, and treat patients with serious medical conditions, illness or injuries.
• Assign ASA Physical Status Score.
• Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations, and record data in the patient’s medical record, including airway assessments, Mallampati score, and heart and lung sounds.
• Evaluate and treat patients to achieve optimal patient care.
• Write progress notes; prepare patient work‑ups and summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findings.
• Develop plans of care that minimize complications and troubleshoot problems when they arise, applying preventative and alternative treatment strategies for possible procedural complications.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists to develop a strong working knowledge of pre‑anesthesia testing protocols and guidelines.

• Masters or Bachelors degree from an accredited PA program and National Board Certification.
• Or licensed as a nurse and approved to practice as an NP by the State of Georgia with National Certification.
