Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift role with a GA or compact license and weekend coverage requirements.

• Work in a medical/surgical hospital unit
• Patient population includes stroke, anemia, UTI, chest pain, and general med/surg conditions
• Night shifts with 3x12 hour schedule from 19:00 to 07:00
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Expected to work assigned major holidays depending on the number falling within contract period
• A maximum of 7 days of requested time off is allowed per assignment, with none during the first week
• Full compliance is required prior to start or orientation may be delayed
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• Travel pairs cannot be assigned to the same shift or unit
• Must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one year before returning as a traveler
• If unable to return to one Piedmont facility, a successful assignment outside the system is required before rebooking

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience
• BLS certification required
• Unit accepts first-time travelers
• Must provide two supervisory references from a manager or higher
