Outpatient Hematology Oncology Registered Nurse (RN)

ScheduleMonday - Friday, 4x10 or 5x8 options (No weekends)

Position OverviewOur top-tier cancer care group in the Atlanta area is seeking an Outpatient Hematology Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced oncology RN who is interested in more of an administrative position.
This is not a clinical role!
Key Responsibilities- Patient Rooming:
Greet patients, gather health history, take vitals, and prepare patients for consultation with providers. - Medication Refills:
Manage medication refill requests for oncology patients, coordinating with providers and pharmacies to ensure timely medication access. - Patient
Education:
Provide educational support to patients regarding treatment plans, medication instructions, and general care management, ensuring they understand their treatment regimens. - Care Management:
Assist in coordinating care for patients, including follow-ups, treatment schedules, and working closely with multidisciplinary teams. - Troubleshooting:
Address patient issues or concerns by troubleshooting medication or treatment-related problems, escalating as needed to the appropriate healthcare provider. - Administrative Duties:
Handle various administrative responsibilities including managing patient documentation, scheduling appointments, and performing clerical tasks to support the clinic’s operations. - Stem-Cell and Medical Oncology Support:
Assist the clinical team with any administrative needs related to stem-cell and medical oncology treatments and care. - Collaboration:
Work alongside physicians, nurse practitioners, and other care team members to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Current RN license in the state of Georgia (or compact state).
- Recent oncology nursing experience.
- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification or willingness to obtain within a year.
