Join our team as a Shortage Control Associate and contribute to a secure shopping environment while delivering exceptional customer satisfaction. Your presence at store entrances, exits, and high‑risk areas will help mitigate theft and create a welcoming environment.
As a Shortage Control Associate (SCA), you will engage with customers and associates consistently with the company core values, greeting each with a confident, friendly, and energetic interaction with eye contact and a smile.
Responsibilities- Maintain command presence—professional appearance, radio and earpiece, standing at the front of the store and remaining vigilant.
- Greet every customer entering or exiting the store with a warm smile and loud, friendly greeting.
- Create a secure environment, reduce opportunities for theft, and monitor all entry points during the entire shift.
- Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious subjects to the Manager on Duty.
- Conduct bag and package checks on associates, ensuring adherence to safety and security standards.
- Support training of associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
- Maintain confidentiality and work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment with disciplined decision‑making.
- 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, asset protection, loss prevention, or operations.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and visually monitor the store environment.
- Excellent communication with customers and coworkers.
- Strong leadership skills to foster productive business relationships.
- Ability to exhibit a positive demeanor, strong posture, and energetic greeting.
- Ability to analyze and comprehend business trends.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Competitive wage of $13.00 per hour

Part‑time associates may be eligible for up to 4 hours of paid time off annually after one year of service, up to 8 paid holidays, and paid sick time in accordance with applicable law.
