Retail Shortage Control - Part Time

Join our team as a Shortage Control Associate and contribute to a secure shopping environment while delivering exceptional customer satisfaction. Your presence at store entrances, exits, and high‑risk areas will help mitigate theft and create a welcoming environment.

As a Shortage Control Associate (SCA), you will engage with customers and associates consistently with the company core values, greeting each with a confident, friendly, and energetic interaction with eye contact and a smile.

• Maintain command presence—professional appearance, radio and earpiece, standing at the front of the store and remaining vigilant.
• Greet every customer entering or exiting the store with a warm smile and loud, friendly greeting.
• Create a secure environment, reduce opportunities for theft, and monitor all entry points during the entire shift.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious subjects to the Manager on Duty.
• Conduct bag and package checks on associates, ensuring adherence to safety and security standards.
• Support training of associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
• Maintain confidentiality and work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment with disciplined decision‑making.

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, asset protection, loss prevention, or operations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and visually monitor the store environment.
• Excellent communication with customers and coworkers.
• Strong leadership skills to foster productive business relationships.
• Ability to exhibit a positive demeanor, strong posture, and energetic greeting.
• Ability to analyze and comprehend business trends.

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Competitive wage of $13.00 per hour
