Job TitleAccount Manager – Catalytic Converter Suppliers
About the RoleWe are looking for a dynamic, physically active Account Manager to engage with catalytic converter suppliers across your assigned territory. You will source high‑quality converters at competitive prices, provide excellent customer service, and drive growth through field‑based relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain strong partner relationships with new and existing suppliers.
- Identify and secure advantageous purchasing terms through field visits.
- Prepare and submit competitive bids based on on‑site data collection.
- Conduct face‑to‑face negotiations to secure favorable pricing and terms.
- Perform quality inspections of purchased converters, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing developments.
- Generate and present sales reports and forecasts.
- Collaborate closely with operations, logistics, and compliance teams.
- Educate suppliers and customers on recycling benefits and processes.
- Operate a home‑based office while traveling frequently to supplier sites.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in account management, business development, or sales—metal recycling or automotive industry a plus.
- Strong knowledge of catalytic converter market dynamics (preferred, not mandatory).
- Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and relationship‑building skills.
- Analytical mindset with ability to assess market data and sales performance.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication competencies.
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making ability.
- Proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Office, and data analysis tools.
- Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, can work independently and meet targets.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations related to metal recycling is a plus.
