Position DescriptionImmediate opening for a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver. If you have the right experience, join us starts at $1,320 per week and can increase based on mileage, stops, and overnights.
- Driver Positions Pay Weekly: $1,320 or more
- Hours per week: 45+ hours
- Solo Miles Pay: $0.53 per mile (approx. 1,900 miles per week)
- Solo Stops Pay: $23.75 per stop (approx. 12 stops per week)
- Per Diem Pay: $28.00 per night (1‑3 nights per week)
- Overnights:
Ryder‑booked hotel or sleeper - Paid Training
- Schedule:
Monday–Friday OR Tuesday–Saturday - Start time:
Noon – 5:00 AM
Route details:
Southeast region from VA to FL and east of MS. Trailer type:
Dry Van, 53’. Equipment: manual pallet jack and lift gate. Freight: touch‑hardware materials.
Hazmat endorsement within 90 days of hire. Ryder reimburses endorsement costs and provides training support.

- Minimum age 21
- Pass a Ryder drug test, background, and motor vehicle check, DOT physical, and Ryder road test
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
- Class A experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle:
- 9 months in past 3 years OR
- 2 years in past 5 years OR
- 5 years in past 10 years
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
Some positions require additional screening, including employment and education verification, motor‑vehicle records check, and/or a road test, as well as badging or background requirements from customer assignments.
Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and agency laws and regulations
- Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
- Maintain accurate logs and records
- Load/unload freight or assist customers as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
