Primary Purpose of the Organization:

The primary purpose of the Department of Campus Enterprise is to enhance the overall quality of life at Fayetteville State University by providing essential products, services, and programs that support the daily needs of students, faculty, and staff. Through the management of key campus operations, including the Bronco Card office, Central Receiving, Mail Services, and the Seabrook Auditorium, the Department of Campus Enterprise ensures convenient, reliable, and cost-effective resources are readily available to the campus community.

As part of the Division of Enterprise Operations, it is committed to delivering excellent customer service, responding to campus needs, and maintaining the infrastructure necessary to support both on-campus and off-campus communities.

Primary Purpose of the Position:

The Department of Campus Enterprise is composed of multiple specialized work units, each responsible for distinct services that collaborate seamlessly to ensure the diverse operational and everyday needs of the campus community are met efficiently and effectively. Each role, whether focused on customer service, operations, administration, or technical support, plays a vital part in delivering high-quality services across units such as Central Receiving, Bronco Card Services, Mail Services, and more.

Employees in this department work collaboratively to ensure that students, faculty, staff, and visitors receive reliable, efficient, and customer-focused support. Ultimately, these positions exist to uphold the department's mission of providing high quality responsive services that enrich the overall quality of life at Fayetteville State University.

Central Receiving
  • Receive incoming equipment and supplies ordered by University departments.
  • Manage shipments delivered by common carriers (e.g., UPS, Overnight, Fed Ex).
  • Process and document all incoming deliveries.
  • Deliver received equipment and supplies to the appropriate University departments.
  • Coordinate and handle vendor returns.
  • Ensure accurate tracking and routing of all incoming and outgoing items.
The Mail Center
  • Pick up and sort all incoming USPS mail from the Post Office for the University.
  • Deliver sorted mail across the University according to daily scheduled runs.
  • Conduct scheduled pickup and delivery runs throughout the University community.
  • Collect outgoing USPS mail and interoffice mail from University departments.
  • Ensure timely and accurate routing of all incoming, outgoing, and interoffice mail.
Bronco Card Office
  • Issue new Bronco Cards to students, faculty, staff, and authorized personnel.
  • Replace lost, stolen, or damaged .
  • Verify eligibility and identity before issuing cards.
  • Maintain accurate records of all  transactions.
  • Troubleshoot card-related issues such as access failures or account errors.
  • Manage cardholder accounts, including updates, activations, and deactivations.
  • Provide customer service and support for all Bronco Card inquiries.
  • Coordinate with campus departments to ensure proper access permissions and system updates.
Seabrook Auditorium
  • Set up and prepare the venue for events, including seating, staging, and equipment.
  • Operate and maintain audiovisual, lighting, and sound equipment during events.
  • Provide on-site support to event organizers, performers, and presenters.
  • Ensure the auditorium is clean, safe, and presentable before and after events.
  • Enforce facility policies and safety regulations.
  • Manage equipment inventory, storage, and maintenance.
  • Address technical or logistical issues that arise during events.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Six months to one year of relevant experience in the area of interest.
