This position is anchored in a collective impact framework, prioritizing the reduction of risk factors and enhancement of protective factors to promote the overall well-being and success of the community.

You will work beyond individual behavior, addressing broader social, organizational and policy contexts. To excel in this role, the Prevention Coordination Specialist should also possess a wide range of knowledge of various health promotion and prevention topics and a deep understanding of the spectrum of prevention and prevention science.

Successful performance of this work requires initiative, creativity, attention to detail, technical skills, flexibility, and the exercise of independent judgment.

Key responsibilities include leveraging both new and existing frameworks, as well as cross-sector teams, to identify, develop and sustain training and best practices. The Specialist will provide expert facilitation and foster cross-sector collaboration to drive impactful prevention initiatives and practices. This includes active coordination of or engagement with targeted networks such as the Trauma-Informed Community Network (TICN), Consolidated Community Funding Pool (CCFP), Partners in Prevention Programming (PIPP), and various prevention focused coalitions.

Through these efforts, the Specialist will ensure cohesive and effective prevention strategies that are integrated and resonate across various community sectors, systems and networks.

Note: The assigned functional areas of the position include program development/evaluation, cross-sector collaboration, and/or human service program delivery.
