* An earned doctorate from a nationally recognized and accredited institution in adult and lifelong learning, or a closely related field, conferred by the start of employment
* An established or emerging research agenda focused on adult and lifelong learning outside of the for-profit workplace, community college leadership, adult basic education and literacy, adult and lifelong learning policy, adult development, or any other area closely related to adult education
* Evidence of scholarly productivity (e.g., publications, presentations, grants)
* Ability to teach graduate courses related to adult and lifelong learning, community colleges, or adult basic education and literacy
* Professional experience in adult education or community colleges
* Graduate teaching experience
* Online teaching and/or learning experience
* Experience submitting and/or securing external funding
* Expertise in quantitative research methods
