Position Overview:
Start your career with the Tax Administration as a Department GIS/Mapping Technician in the Land Records/Mapping Division and create output of analysis such as cadastral maps, statistics, and reports. You'll harness the power of COGO plotting software and digital mapping programs within our Geographic Information System (GIS) to weave together a tapestry of property data, parcel data and parcel lines ensuring seamless taxation and assessment processes while crafting accurate land records.
Be part of the force impacting the future of county and intergovernmental agencies through your vital role in graphic representation and data synthesis.
Examples of Duties- Creates, maintains and compiles land maps, tax database files and GIS system updates;
- Updates cadastral, soil and district zoning maps, etc.
- Utilizes and analyzes deed descriptions and other records to divide or combine parcels, delineate new property lines, additions to subdivisions, etc.
