About The Position

The Director of Research Operations & Analytics is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of research activities and establishing the analytical frameworks needed to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role combines hands-on coordination of research studies with strategic leadership in analytics. The Director ensures regulatory compliance, manages participant recruitment and data integrity, leads data interpretation and reporting efforts, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to support evidence-based program development.

The position requires strong operational leadership, analytical expertise, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business and research insights.

Compensation: $120,000

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, screen, consent, and coordinate research participants while safeguarding confidentiality and participant safety.
  • Implement study protocols, standard operating procedures, and data collection workflows.
  • Maintain regulatory documentation, including IRB submissions, protocol updates, approvals, and amendments.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Principal Investigator, research staff, sponsors, regulatory bodies, and external partners.
  • Schedule and facilitate research team meetings, sponsor communications, and study-related events.
  • Oversee the collection, management, analysis, and secure storage of research and organizational data.
  • Develop analytical frameworks and dashboards for ongoing performance monitoring and strategic decision-making.
  • Lead the interpretation of study outcomes, analytics findings, and program performance metrics; present results to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and quality benchmarks across research and operational activities.
  • Ensure data accuracy, quality assurance, and adherence to established data governance and security standards.
Strategic & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Align research activities and analytical priorities with organizational goals and mission objectives.
  • Partner with cross-functional units (e.g., operations, clinical, administrative, and technical teams) to identify data needs and process improvements.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to research assistants, analysts, and support staff to strengthen organizational data literacy.
  • Recommend and implement technological solutions that enhance efficiency, reporting capabilities, and research outcomes.
Regulatory & Safety Compliance
  • Ensure full compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), ICH, OSHA regulations, and internal policies.
  • Maintain readiness for audits, inspections, and sponsor reviews.
  • Ensure all personnel involved in research are trained in required compliance and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in public health, data analytics, life sciences, exercise science, statistics, psychology, or a related field preferred.
  • 2–4 years of research coordination experience, preferably within a clinical, high-performance, academic, or IRB-regulated environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in analytics, data strategy, or data management, with demonstrated ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), statistical software, or database systems strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, or team management experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of CFR, GCP, ICH, and research regulatory guidelines.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting requirements and timelines.
