Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a compact RN license, 2 years of MS/Tele experience, and ACLS/BLS/NIH certs.

Job Details

• Work in a short-term acute care hospital within the Med/Surg Tele unit,

• Patient ratios are typically 1:5-6,

• Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital environment,

• Utilizes Epic for charting,

• Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00,

• Every other weekend is required,

• Floating to like units within scope of practice required,

• On-call is not required,

Job Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required at time of consideration,

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele nursing experience,

• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS,

• Epic EMR experience preferred,

• Cannot live within 50 miles of the facility,

• Former staff must be gone at least 1 year to return as a traveler,

• System allows only 2 consecutive contracts before a 6-month break is required,

Additional Information

• First time travelers are accepted for this assignment,

• Royal blue and white scrubs are required,

• Holiday coverage may be required based on facility need,

• RTO requests are at manager's discretion and must be submitted with application,
