Shift: Day Shift, 4x10-hour (06:30 – 17:00); block scheduling available

Job Responsibilities:

Assist surgeons in open-heart and cardiac surgical procedures as a scrub technologist.
Prepare and maintain the sterile field and ensure all surgical instruments and supplies are properly arranged and available.
Collaborate with the surgical and perfusion teams to ensure safe, efficient cardiac and vascular surgeries.
Handle and operate specialized surgical equipment including those from GE, Philips, Siemens, and PACS systems.
Maintain strict adherence to infection control and sterile technique protocols.
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures and support optimal patient outcomes.
Ensure accurate counts of instruments, sponges, and sharps.
Required

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of CVOR (Cardiac Surgery) scrub experience required.
Specialized

Experience:

Must have open-heart, cardiac, and vascular scrub experience.
Licensure:
Active state or compact surgical technologist license.
Charting System:

Experience with Epic required.

Certifications:

BLS (required); ACLS preferred for advanced roles.
Technical Proficiency:
Familiarity with GE, PACS, Philips, and Siemens equipment.

Qualifications and Skills:

Previous travel experience. Experience in a Level III Trauma Center or teaching hospital environment. Strong understanding of advanced cardiovascular surgical techniques and equipment setup.
