Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a NC or compact RN license and strong telemetry and med/surg experience.

Job Details

• Work in a Medical/Surgical and Telemetry unit at an acute care hospital,

• Patient ratio is 1:5-6,

• Facility is a Level III trauma center and teaching hospital,

• Uses Epic EMR system,

• Day shifts: 3x12 hours (7:00 to 19:00),

• Weekend coverage required every other weekend,

• Floating within scope to similar units required,

• Royal blue and white scrubs required,

• No on-call responsibilities,

Job Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required and must be in hand,

• Minimum of 2 years Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required,

• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required,

• Epic EMR experience preferred,

• Locals not accepted (must live more than 50 miles from the main campus),

• Pending licenses are not accepted,

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,

• Return staff must have been away at least 1 year before returning as a traveler,

• Maximum of 2 contracts in a row, after which a 6 month break is required before returning,

• Royal blue and white scrubs must be worn during shifts,

• RTO (time off) restrictions are subject to manager discretion,
