OverviewThe Director of Informational Technology (IT) and Cyber Security will develop and maintain the company’s IT and Cyber Security Business Development Plan and manage day‑to‑day pursuit of business opportunities listed in the business pipeline. This individual will also work in close concert with the CEO‑President to maintain the company’s strategic, operations and business‑related matters related to IT and Cyber Security.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES- Advise the CEO‑President on strategic, operational, and business‑related matters related to IT and Cyber Security.
- Represent the company in matters related to business development and operations.
- Operate from OSI Headquarters in Fayetteville, NC.
- Develop and formalize the company’s business development in the IT/C5
ISR market space based on guidance from the CEO‑President and other staff. - Synchronize IT and Cyber Security business initiatives with the company’s overall strategic goals and objectives.
- Ensure marketing materials include IT/C5
ISR capabilities. - Oversee IT/Cyber contracts and visit all IT/Cyber government worksites at least once a year.
- Maintain a pipeline of 10‑15 possible solicitation opportunities.
- Participate in bid‑no‑bid solicitation meetings and monthly business development conferences.
- As IT SME, oversee preparation, writing, and packaging of IT/C5
ISR proposals. - Oversee capture plans for IT and Cyber Security Government procurement opportunities.
- Maintain and oversee the proposal writing system and process for IT/Cyber solicitations.
- Ensure at least one IT/C5
ISR contract proposal/bid is submitted every three months. - Collaborate with Director of Finance on 12‑month solicitation projections for budget development.
- Develop strategic relationships with other Government contracting companies and Contract Offices/Agencies.
- Master of Business Administration or Public Administration preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant IT Program Management experience, including 5+ years of direct IT and/or cybersecurity leadership.
- 3 years of Government contracting experience in a fast‑paced environment.
- 5+ years of C4
ISR experience. - Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition process and FAR.
- Understanding of government proposal pricing.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information with integrity.
- Ability to work effectively under time constraints.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to handle ambiguity, and work independently with high accuracy.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience using government contracting and business intelligence systems such as SAM.gov and Gov Win.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for inquiries, presentations, reports, and correspondence.
- Excellent organizational management skills, independent work, and task prioritization.
- Excellent judgment and objectivity.
- Ability to handle high‑volume work in a fast‑paced business environment.
- Ability to conduct independent research on contracting business opportunities and proposal preparation.
Ability to read, comprehend, and explain instructions, letters, memos, emails, and correspondence from inside the organization as well as from external sources, and to effectively respond, communicate and present information to customers, internal and external, clients and other employees in the organization.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSRegularly required to sit, talk and/or hear. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms, bend, and occasionally lift up to 15 pounds without assistance. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENTWork will be in a corporate office building setting. The environment is fast‑paced and stressful at times to meet established deadlines associated with Government contracting. Employee may be required to travel in support of business development and/or proposal development activities.
