Supervisor Housekeeping
J&J Worldwide Services is looking for a Supervisor of Housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all residents and visitors at Fort Liberty, NC.
Job SummaryThe Supervisor coordinates the work of employees who clean, sanitize, and maintain government facilities. They directly supervise non‑exempt employees, ensuring compliance with housekeeping standards and safety procedures.
Primary Job Functions- Assign tasks to housekeeping employees and monitor progress.
- Spot‑check employee work to ensure compliance with housekeeping standards and perform daily performance inspections of assigned areas.
- Identify new supplies and materials required for housekeeping duties and coordinate requisitions with the Project Manager.
- Resolve issues or complaints among or regarding housekeeping staff members.
- Monitor employee workloads and notify management of anticipated increases.
- Provide training for housekeeping employees.
- Issue supplies and equipment.
- Ensure staff members use PPE as appropriate and adhere to safety procedures.
- Ensure staff members are attired in appropriate uniform and carry badges in compliance with Company policies.
- Perform some maintenance at the facility as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in all phases of housekeeping and floor care.
- Work in office areas and throughout the facility.
- Physical demands include intermittent sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs. and other tasks such as pushing, pulling, reaching; lifting furniture may be required.
- Operate motorized equipment such as floor striping, buffing, and deep cleaning machines.
- Occasional exposure to cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to understand contract terms.
- Read, write, and speak English.
- Effective verbal and listening communication skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of office equipment such as computers, printers, faxes, and scan machines.
- Ability to prepare and manage correspondence (documents, reports, emails).
- May require basic maintenance experience.
The base salary range for this position is $45,000–$55,000. This position may also be eligible for a wide range of competitive benefits, including medicine, well‑being, financial planning, and short‑term incentives.
