7:00am - 7:30pm – Rotating schedule: two days on, two days off, three days on, two days off, with every other weekend off.

Summary of Job

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and as part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team. The LPN identifies the need for medical attention and alerts the Physician and/or RN of medical concerns.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Guest Care & Advocacy:
    • Provides education regarding diabetic care, psychiatric medication and other medical needs to enhance individual health and wellbeing.
    • Coordinates care including assisting individuals with making medical and/or other provider appointments as needed.
  • Compliance &

    Risk Management:
    • Assists with intake processli>
    • Collects blood or urine specimens and arranges transport to lab as ordered.
    • Monitors care of individuals to include monitoring of medications under the supervision of the RN.
    • Oversees and maintains medication records in accordance with policy and State Regulations.
    • Completes clinical documentation as required.
    • Keeps abreast of all federal and state regulations and laws and all Recovery Innovations policies and procedures as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
    • Understands and adheres to Recovery Innovations compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.
  • Cross Functional

    Collaboration:
    • Provides support to Medical Assistants and other staff as needed, which includes treatment and discharge planning.
  • Additional Duties:
    • Performs other related duties assigned.

Job Requirements
  • Education / Licenses:
    • Graduation from an accredited LPN program.
    • Current and valid LPN license.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a behavioral health setting.
    • Thorough comprehension of psychiatric nursing preferred.
    • Knowledge of psychiatric medications and their indications, common side effects, reactions and interactions of medications prescribed.
    • Ability to work with agitated guest in crisis and their families to implement behavioral management interventions.
  • Skills:
    • Basic computer skills.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Problem solving.
    • Verbal and written communication.
    • Effective listening skills.
    • Excellent clinical documentation skills.
    • Must be able to pass de‑escalation training, as defined by state requirements.
  • Driving Requirements:
    • If driving is required, must meet all requirements outlined in Recovery Innovations driving policy.
    • If not qualified to drive, a Non‑Driver Attestation form must be signed.
