American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of MS/Tele experience and active NC or compact RN license.

• Med/Surg Tele unit in a short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center teaching hospital with 733 staffed beds
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope to like units or affiliated campuses based on staffing needs
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active NC or Compact RN license required (pending license not accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years of MS/Tele experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Epic EMR experience required
• No background or license actions within the past 12 months
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

• Provide nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients in a teaching hospital environment
• Scrub color requirement: royal blue and white
• Must complete pre-start modules (estimated 4-10 hours, non-billable)
• Must pass Advanced EKG exam as part of compliance for this specialty
• Maximum of 4 days RTO permitted unless otherwise approved by manager discretion
• May request RTO for one major holiday only
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the main campus are not eligible
• Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Night shift travelers may extend contracts up to two times (maximum of three contracts total), then must wait six months before reapplying
• Vaccine exemption requests, if needed, must be submitted early as candidates may not start while a request is pending
