Technician – Level 2

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. is looking for a skilled Technician – Level 2 (Mechanic) to support preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on our fleet of aerial work platforms and general construction tools. The role focuses on keeping equipment safe and operational to minimize downtime.

As a Technician – Level 2, you will build skills across a variety of equipment, develop a career path in services or operations management, and work within a safety‑focused environment integral to our team.

• Perform preventive maintenance on a diverse fleet of aerial work platforms and general construction tools.
• Diagnose equipment faults and carry out timely repairs, keeping downtime to a minimum.
• Work across various makes and models to enhance technical proficiency.
• Support a team dedicated to safety and operational excellence.

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy equipment, or specialty lines (generators, pumps, HVAC, oil & gas). Strong preference for those with experience in large‑scale generators or HVAC.
• Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting.
• Ability to adapt flexibly to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• May require bilingual (Spanish or other) based on location needs.
• May need to bring personal mechanic tool set.

Requires bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more. Work may take place indoors and outdoors, as required by the position.

Base Pay Range: $19.91 - $27.37 per hour. The starting rate may vary based on location, education, training, and experience.
