The primary purpose of this position is to work in various roles within the Intramural & Recreational Sports department.

• Referee: Attend all required meetings and trainings, officiate and judge a variety of intramural sports, games, activities, and competitions.
• Scorekeeper: Keep the scoreboard accurate, keep accurate player statistics, work with game officials to ensure a fair contest, maintain official team rosters, and keep time by starting and stopping the clock.
• Facilities Monitor: Communicate any problems or concerns to the facilitator/supervisor, ensure all equipment is checked in and checked out, ensure all facility policies are being adhered to, set up, break down, and clean up equipment.
• Lifeguard: Communicate any problems or concerns to the facilitator/supervisor, rescue swimmers in distress, administer first aid and artificial respiration, teach swimming, maintain order and discipline, help keep the area clean, enforce rules and regulations, stay alert to detect hazardous conditions, supervise swimming activities, ensure policies, guidelines, and safety procedures are followed, warn swimmers of improper activities or danger, evaluate conditions for safety, initiate aquatics emergency action plan, inspect waterfront, dock, equipment, and water, and maintain equipment and first aid inventory.

Must be enrolled full- or part-time in a degree-seeking graduate or undergraduate program with Fayetteville State University.
