Bus Operator

• Safely drive a transit bus on campus and city streets on scheduled routes
• Perform pre-operational safety maintenance checks on the bus
• Accumulate and record statistics for daily reports on fixed route service
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance and foster harmonious working relationships
• Complete other duties as assigned by the employer

• Must pass a DOT physical examination and obtain a DOT medical examiner’s certificate
• Formal education equivalent to a high‑school diploma
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• A valid Driver’s License in good standing

• CDL Class B or higher with Passenger Endorsement
• Experience operating large transit vehicles on city streets in fixed route service
• Knowledge of DOT/CDL regulations
• Excellent customer service skills
