Want to come and be a part of it? What will you be doing? General Foreman will manage day to day site operations including health and safety, environment and quality progress .

Key Responsibilities Assist Site Manager/ Project Manager in the day to day running of site activities, including labour organisation, production outputs, quality and adhering to RAMS. Establish a strong appearance of site; in charge of effective decision making. Act as a link between site operations and management. Act as an ambassador for safety and quality on site. Lead by example. Provide clear communication to all staff on site.

Co-ordinate the works of subcontractors on site ensuring the highest levels of health and safety and quality are achieved. Perform Line Manager duties ensuring that the team is supported and provided with necessary tools and resources to achieve set goals at the organisational and individual level. Follow procedures and legislations; seek advice, guidance and support where required; comply with the SHEQ regulations.

Carry out daily briefings to workforce and toolbox talks ensuring risks and controls for all tasks are effectively briefed and works carried out in accordance with planned safe system of works Ensure all plant and vehicle checks are being carried out by operators; ensure compliance with inspection and test plan. Assist site management team with effective plant and material ordering in a timely manner to ensure no delays to production on site.

Complete daily allocation sheets, site diary and produce site progress photos. Utilise workforce skills to their best potential. Liaise daily with Quantity Surveyor/Site Manager to ensure that all commercial opportunities are realised. Carry out role of Temporary Works Supervisor where appropriate (if trained to do so). Liaise with clients' representatives when required. Ensure site security is adequate and maintained at all times. Assist Site Manager in ensuring safe excavation procedures are correctly implemented and followed by all on site. Implement the requirements of the Company Management System (CMS), as applicable to the business operations. Keep up to date with current legislation and industry trends. What youll bring SSSTS and SMSTS certificate essential.

First Aid trained. Exhibit strong leadership ability. Commitment to the highest practicable standards of health and safety and environmental protection. Confined space management desirable. Understanding of ground works desirable. Demonstrable excellent all-round civil engineering knowledge. Good written and verbal communication skills. Flexible and agile attitude to suit employers and clients requirements. Keep up to date with legislations and current industry trends.
