Overview
Featherstone All Saints C of E Academy is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join our warm and inclusive school community. This apprenticeship is an excellent opportunity for someone to take the first step into a rewarding career in education, especially supporting children with additional needs.

- Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Working one-to-one and in small groups with pupils, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Assisting with the preparation and organisation of learning materials and resources
- Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting our school’s Christian values
- Supporting children at playtimes and lunchtimes, encouraging active and inclusive play
- Contributing to record-keeping and tracking progress, under supervision
- Ensuring all pupils have equal access to learning and feel safe and supported
- Working primarily within Key Stage 2 although this may vary depending on the needs of the school
This position is temporary in the first instance. Achievement of the teaching assistant apprenticeship may offer opportunities to take up a range of positions in education including one to one roles supporting children with additional needs. You may progress to the Level 5 Specialist Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship following a SEND pathway.
