Retail Store Assistant Manager - 0392 s role supports Store Manager in day-to-day store operations, leads a customer-centric environment, develops staff, and drives financial performance.
Compensation and Perks- Hourly wage: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour.
- Commission: earn commission on transactions (up to 8% per company plan; average additional pay cited as up to $3.67 per hour on top of base).

Assistant Store Manager (minimum 6 months management/3rd key experience) is responsible for day-to-day store operations and fostering a positive, productive environment. Partners with Store Manager to lead and develop staff, recruit and retain talent, maximize financial goals, manage customer relations, and maintain a customer-centric tone. Analyzes store financial statements to meet goals; participates in asset protection; promotes business and target new customer acquisitions;
works with jewelry and general merchandise; may include firearms in FFL locations.
This role offers hourly pay plus commission based on productivity and store performance. Actual pay varies by location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities- Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
- Assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, including cash drawers, merchandise, and asset protection procedures.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
- Administer store processes, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, systems, and reporting.
- Evaluate store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
- Maintain operating standards to meet First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity of loans.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development.
- Communicate clearly with employees about the store’s mission and profit objectives.
- Maintain up-to-date product knowledge.
- Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods; stand/walk/climb, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise others.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- Minimum Age: 18;
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. - Willing to work at multiple locations as needed; flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Assistant Store Managers will work 40+ hours per week; hours are not guaranteed.
- Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and office machines.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented; strong organizational skills; analytical skills.
- Cash handling experience; ability to work independently with minimal supervision; excellent work ethic and business sense.

Commission Plan InformationThe employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Assistant Store Managers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission, based on gross profit of personal performance. Details provided during interview.
