Overview

Full-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our Team. Pay rate: $18.00 to $21.00 per hour. Earn commission on transactions; can earn up to 8% on transactions, potentially adding about $1.00 per hour on top of hourly rate.

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the store team to ensure customer service on both lending and retail sides. The role involves greeting, engaging, and assisting customers in processing sales, loans, and other transactions, engaging with customers, handling inquiries and problem resolution, and working with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greet and interact with customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Perform non-management open/close procedures.
• Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintain merchandise displays.
• Process sales and loan transactions per policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Handle cash and negotiable items per policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Explain legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using communication tools.
• Partner with employees to deliver positive customer experiences.
• Complete assigned training.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• May be asked to assist customers exterior to the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Must be able to work at multiple locations as needed.
• Must have the ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. More details are provided during the interview process.
