Sales Assistant​/Technical Assistant

Summary

Their role is to provide both administrative and technical/customer support for business clients or the internal team to facilitate the sales process and ensure smooth operations.

• Under a technical manager, support customers' needs for technical advice for various industrial goods.
• Perform data entry tasks for sales figures, metrics, and other relevant information and maintain an organized and accessible filing system.
• Create and process orders in a timely manner, processing requests for rush orders, and reviewing pending orders and customer requests to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Communicate with manufacturers/suppliers and customers in Japan and ensure commercial processing by following up orders, deliveries and manufacturing deadlines, and also handle administrative files (invoices, estimates, statistics, reminders, etc.).
• Altering sales orders and shipping information as required.
• Report any unusual activity to supervisors.
• Collaborate effectively with the sales team by creating and issuing sales tracking documentation upon request.
• Provide assistance to management team members and executives as needed.

• Proficient in MS Office
• Some hands-on technical background is welcome, but not necessary.
• Experience in sales assistance and/or customer service and high-volume office work may be advantageous
• Bilingual in Japanese/English is preferred, but not necessary.
• Some experience in Mechanical/Structural/Chemical/Electrical Engineering fields would be greatly helpful.
