Description:
We are looking for a locum physician to work three clinic shifts and one call shift per week in‑house. The schedule is flexible based on the locum's availability. The role includes managing both inpatient and outpatient care. Duties consist of 60‑70% OB and 30‑40% GYN responsibilities. The OB responsibilities will include a mix of high‑risk and low‑risk patients. Services include care for patients with diabetes, hypertension, advanced maternal age, and multiple pregnancies.
The GYN responsibilities focus on annual checks, abnormal uterine bleeding, birth control consultations, and surgical assessments for conditions such as fibroids and polyps. There is a procedure room available for LEEPs and colposcopy. The office provides all forms of birth control, including IUDs and Nexplanon placements. Patients seen per day range from 18 to 24. Required procedures include managing labor and delivery patients, assisting in the operating room, and providing GYN coverage in the emergency room.
The nursery is staffed 24 hours a day. Support staff includes registered nurses, midwives, and various technicians. Credentialing timeframe is a minimum of 60 days. A clean malpractice background is preferred. Local candidates are highly preferred, with no travel required. Weekend shifts are part of the role.
