Project Engineer - Water​/Wastewater

Kennedy Jenks is seeking an ambitious and service-oriented Project Engineer to join one of our largest and fastest-growing markets! As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in our water/wastewater practice, contributing to design work and acting as a lead on projects while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team of project engineers and managers. Projects will include a variety of water, wastewater, recycled water, utility infrastructure, and treatment process improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Analysis:
Prepare detailed designs, specifications, and drawings. Conduct design calculations with the support of senior team members. Assist the Project Manager where needed.
Technical Support:
Provide technical expertise to multi-disciplinary project teams.
Documentation:
Write technical reports and maintain accurate project records, reports, and documentation.
Project Management:
Support projects from conception through construction, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams. Lead smaller projects and attend both internal and external meetings as necessary.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related scientific discipline is required. A Master's degree is preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain PE within 6 months of hire.
5+ years of water/wastewater engineering experience.
Proficiency in various software including AutoCAD, Micro Station, Civil3D, and Microsoft products.
Ability to interact professionally with both internal teams and external clients, analyze technical documents, and communicate effectively.

Kennedy Jenks supports a healthy work-life balance and utilizes a hybrid model of home and office work, with a minimum of two days per week in the office. This approach empowers our people to thrive, collaborate, and achieve their full potential.
Salary range for this position is anticipated to be between $90,000 and $165,000, depending on education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications, and geographic location. This position is eligible for performance and incentive compensation.
