- Set up and operate precision test equipment for alignment, troubleshooting, and testing of electrical equipment and systems.
- Possess a working knowledge of standard test equipment, oscilloscopes, ohmmeters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, etc., as well as a working knowledge of custom made test equipment, including automated test equipment.
- Follow written procedures and demonstrate proper use of hand tools and measuring devices.
- Follow blueprints, guidelines, and/or diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met.
- Troubleshooting and testing of repair units.
- Aligns and adjusts advanced electronic components on units being repaired to ensure proper functioning of electronic circuits, utilizing established calibration procedures.
- Utilizes SAP and other MRO computer programs.
- Participate on project teams.
- Apply technical expertise in the evaluation, development, maintenance and use of complex products, devices, tests, or procedures under changing conditions where problem solving skills and judgments are required.
- Must be highly-motivated and dedicated to exceeding customer expectations.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Utilize analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Successfully work as a team member supporting work completion in a fast-paced environment.
- Conduct written and verbal communication with technicians, engineering, and leadership within the MRO.
- Responsible for a moderate level of planning.
- This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
- Typically requires a HS diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Must have an electronics background or education with 2+ years complimentary work history in a manufacturing or service environment.
- Electronics maintenance industry experience or education required.
- Must have prior experience troubleshooting electronics equipment.
