We are looking for a seasoned Cobol/Mainframe Developer to support development and maintenance of mission‑critical systems.
The role involves working with COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL in a structured SDLC environment. Prior experience with State Medicaid or Eligibility projects is preferred.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain COBOL programs with a focus on performance and reliability.
- Support online transaction processing using CICS.
- Design and optimize database queries and structures using DB2.
- Create and manage batch jobs using JCL.
- Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- 8+ years of experience in COBOL development, debugging, and optimization.
- Advanced knowledge of CICS for transaction processing and system integration.
- Proficiency in DB2 for database development and data management.
- Strong experience with JCL for batch job development and maintenance.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Prior experience supporting State Medicaid or Eligibility projects.
